Many educators, nonprofit professionals, and leaders are navigating chronic burnout, emotional exhaustion, and unsustainable systems while still being asked to lead with care, creativity, and presence.

My work creates space for teams to reconnect with themselves, each other, and more sustainable ways of leading and working together.

The Science of Burnout & Belonging

The signature offering — and the beginning of a journey, not a one-time event.

The Science of Burnout & Belonging is a restorative, research-informed workshop exploring the relationship between chronic stress, nervous system overwhelm, connection, and sustainable leadership. Rooted in neuroscience, embodied practice, and community care, it invites teams to understand burnout not as an individual failure, but as a collective and systemic experience.

This workshop opens a series. From there, we move into organizational embedding — integrating rest and reflection into the culture itself: how meetings are held, how transitions are honored, how the work gets done. Along the way, I document your team's experience and connect it to national research and frameworks, so your organization leaves with a Field Report — knowledge you keep, not just an experience you had.

Rest-Centered Custom Workshops & Team Encuentros

I call them encuentros rather than retreats, because a retreat asks you to step away — and an encuentro brings you together. This work is a homecoming, not an escape.

Every organization, team, and community carries unique needs, challenges, and visions for care. These custom workshops and encuentros are thoughtfully designed to support sustainable leadership, nervous system well-being, reflection, connection, and belonging. Data-informed and centered in group dynamics theory, each experience is built from what your team is actually carrying — and shaped together, with you. We create restorative experiences that meet your team where they are.

Research, Program Evaluation & Storytelling

Your data already holds stories.

Human-centered research, program evaluation, and impact storytelling for mission-driven organizations. I design evaluations that honor the people behind the numbers — connecting what your programs are showing to national research and frameworks, and returning the findings to your community as stories they can recognize themselves in. Not reports that sit in a drawer. Knowledge your organization keeps.

This can look like: program evaluation and impact reports · survey and listening design · data analysis · Field Reports that document what your team experienced and what it means · storytelling that turns evidence into narrative.

All organizational engagements begin with a discovery conversation to understand your team's needs and design the right experience. Half-day workshops, full-day intensives, multi-day series, and ongoing wellness partnerships are available. Reach out to start the conversation. Sliding Scale always available for grassroots organizations, small teams, and mission driven organizations that could not otherwise access this work.

My Approach.

Rooted in the belief that the people doing the most meaningful and community-centered work deserve spaces that sustain them, too. As an educator, facilitator, and community builder, I have experienced firsthand how burnout impacts the very people called to lead, teach, care, and create change. Through a framework grounded in nervous system awareness, restorative practice, reflection, and belonging, I design experiences that help mission-driven teams reconnect to themselves, each other, and more sustainable ways of working and leading. I am especially passionate about supporting educators — whose labor, care, and humanity are too often poured from an empty cup.

What shifts when your team rests.

Educators and staff who engage in rest-centered professional development don't just feel better — they lead differently. Participants in Working With Delia workshops consistently report leaving with greater clarity, reduced emotional exhaustion, and a stronger sense of purpose in their work.

They name boundaries more clearly. They recognize burnout earlier — in themselves and in their colleagues. They return to their programs with tools they can use immediately: breathwork for dysregulation, somatic grounding for hard days, language for what they're carrying.

Sustainable organizations are built by sustained people. This is what that investment looks like.

“This was a great break from program. It was wonderful to detach and listen to myself through Delia's guidance.”

“Amazing working with Delia, she brought the science and biology concepts and connected them to resting and recharging. It pushed me to be uncomfortable and try things I don’t often allow myself to do.”

“Amazing. Transformative. I learned to pay attention to my body”
