Rest-Centered Leadership and Professional Development
Custom workshops, retreats, and facilitation experiences for educators, nonprofits, universities, and mission-driven teams.
Many educators, nonprofit professionals, and leaders are navigating chronic burnout, emotional exhaustion, and unsustainable systems while still being asked to lead with care, creativity, and presence.
My work creates space for teams to reconnect with themselves, each other, and more sustainable ways of leading and working together.

The Science of Burnout & Belonging is a restorative, research-informed workshop that explores the relationship between chronic stress, nervous system overwhelm, connection, and sustainable leadership. Rooted in neuroscience, embodied practice, and community care, this experience invites educators, nonprofits, and mission-driven teams to better understand burnout not as an individual failure, but as a collective and systemic experience. Through reflection, nervous system education, restorative practices, and meaningful dialogue, participants leave with tangible tools to cultivate resilience, belonging, and more sustainable ways of working, leading, and caring for themselves and their communities.
Every organization, team, and community carries unique needs, challenges, and visions for care. These custom workshops and retreats are thoughtfully designed to support sustainable leadership, nervous system well-being, reflection, connection, and belonging. Together, we create restorative experiences that meet your team where they are — whether through professional development workshops, leadership retreats, educator wellness experiences, or community-centered facilitation.
All organizational engagements begin with a discovery conversation to understand your team's needs and design the right experience. Half-day workshops, full-day intensives, multi-day series, and ongoing wellness partnerships are available. Reach out to start the conversation.
My Approach.
Rooted in the belief that the people doing the most meaningful and community-centered work deserve spaces that sustain them, too. As an educator, facilitator, and community builder, I have experienced firsthand how burnout impacts the very people called to lead, teach, care, and create change. Through a framework grounded in nervous system awareness, restorative practice, reflection, and belonging, I design experiences that help mission-driven teams reconnect to themselves, each other, and more sustainable ways of working and leading. I am especially passionate about supporting educators — whose labor, care, and humanity are too often poured from an empty cup. What shifts when your team rests. Educators and staff who engage in rest-centered professional development don't just feel better — they lead differently. Participants in Working With Delia workshops consistently report leaving with greater clarity, reduced emotional exhaustion, and a stronger sense of purpose in their work.
They name boundaries more clearly. They recognize burnout earlier — in themselves and in their colleagues. They return to their programs with tools they can use immediately: breathwork for dysregulation, somatic grounding for hard days, language for what they're carrying.
Sustainable organizations are built by sustained people. This is what that investment looks like.
“This was a great break from program. It was wonderful to detach and listen to myself through Delia's guidance.”
“Amazing working with Delia, she brought the science and biology concepts and connected them to resting and recharging. It pushed me to be uncomfortable and try things I don’t often allow myself to do.”
“Amazing. Transformative. I learned to pay attention to my body”
